Computer manufacturers are increasingly getting into the habit of 'tweaking' a standard part so that off the shelf replacement parts can no longer replace it when it breaks. This is great for their bottom line, because then the only way to get the non-standard part is through them. When that part does break, instead of just being able to pull a replacement off the shelf you now have to wait a week to get it ordered from the manufacturer, and they use their monopoly on the part to charge you extra. They get PAID for each piece of trial software. They are selling a computer full of advertisements.
